Ms. Seipel is equally at home on the musical theater stage, 
performing such roles as Carrie Pipperidge (Carousel), Anne 
Egerman (A Little Night Music), Amalia Balash (She Loves 
Me), and Marion Paroo (The Music Man).  On the Columbia Artists Theatricals national tour of Oliver!, she played several roles, including Mrs. Bedwin, Mrs. Sowerberry, Widow Corney, and even played flute with the orchestra.  
Hailed as "an impressive soprano" of “considerable vocal agility and style” (Baltimore Sun), Michelle Seipel is a versatile singer and actress with a wide-ranging performance career.  A native of Appleton, Wisconsin, she is recognized for her “clear, beautiful voice” and “winning naturalness.” Her performances are praised as “unforgettable,” “exquisite,” and “world-class.” 

While an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, she earned a double major in voice performance and mathematics.  Before formally continuing her vocal studies, Ms. Seipel maintained an active performance career while working as an actuary at the

Among the operatic roles she has performed, a few of Ms. Seipel’s favorites are Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Gilda (Rigoletto), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel), and the Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute).  Other career highlights include Frasquita (Carmen) with New York City Opera, the Emmy-nominated Carousel at Lincoln Center, The Tender Land with Skylight Opera (recorded for public television), and The Barber of Seville and Don Pasquale with

Ms. Seipel’s various credits include the above-referenced critically acclaimed performance of Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor), Musetta and Despina in St. Petersburg Opera’s La Bohème and Così fan tutte, Josphine (H.M.S Pinafore) and Casilda (The Gondoliers) with the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, and Livietta in an innovative, bilingual production of Pergolesi’s Livietta e Tracollo.  She has been the recipient of numerous awards, including awards from the Wisconsin District Metropolitan Opera Auditions and the Shreveport Opera Singer of the Year Competition.  A soloist with both the Colorado Symphony and Bay Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, she has also been a featured recitalist for the Milwaukee Civic Music Association and the Milwaukee Music Teachers’ Association.
American Landmark Festival.  In addition, Ms. Seipel has performed numerous Clorindas and Noémies (La Cenerentola and Cendrillon), Jazz Trio Girls (Trouble in Tahiti) and Sophies (Der Rosenkavalier), and recently teamed up with composer Melissa Shiflett to record Ms. Shiflett's art song cycle Rose Saga I.
